CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland Indians have named Lyft as the team's official ride-share partner in a deal that runs through 2019.
The deal began with this weekend's series against Baltimore.
Dedicated pickup and drop-off area is at Erie Court, across from Progressive Field's center-field gates. New users can get $5 off their first two rides. Download the Lyft app via Apple and Android devices and use the code NEWTRIBE.
In 2015 and 2017, the Indians and Uber had a ridesharing agreement.
The team says the Indians and the St. Louis Cardinals are the only Major League Baseball teams with exclusive Lyft agreements.
After this weekend, the Indians have 18 regular-season games remaining.
California-based Lyft started in 2012 and operates in hundreds of cities, including eight in Ohio.
